SC Roller Rink and One Cool Dude = favorite layout

This may be my new favorite layout in the history of ever. It started with papers from SC roller rink but nothing else  but a few brads and enamel dots came from the kit.

I used a new Prima mask and several SC and HS mists to color the background. I then used stamps, flait, pearls, brads, glitz jewels,  enamel dots, and beads from Queen&Co (seriously old stash item) to decorate some of the circles. The stamps are Mama Elephant, Cocoa Daisy and SC.

Earlier this month, I went on a weekend retreat with 15 or 16 other scrapbookers. I only got 11 layouts done over the 2.5 days but I really like all of them. Everything on this LO was from the SC Elmwood Park kit again except the SC veneers and the background. I made it a couple weeks ago after watching some videos from Wilna Furstenberg's Art Class at 2peas. I backed some stars in the new Prima star stencil with washi tape before misting the background paper. I then used various stamps in the unmisted spots and traced around the perimeter of the stars with a pen

Original - and Authentique

This is an older layout and done from my stash. Uses Authentique paper and stickers, MME card, MR pins, WRMK grommets, and brads that I think were DejaViews???

Silly and Sweet - SC Elmwood Park

 Pics are my kid dancing and playing with silly bands in our driveway complete with mismatched pajamas.

I used the SC Elmwood Park kit and add-ons (July 2012) which was my first. The color in the photo is off on the second one but thought I'd post both. The first was the layout when I originally completed it. The second is the result of my tinkering when I decided it just wasn't done. The die-cuts were bought in the SC shop and were leftover stock from their June 2012 kits. Everything else was from the kits

Dueling Duo and SC Planetarium

I think these photos mostly speak for themselves - 2 boys + 2 light sabres = dueling fun!

Stamps are from the North Star add-on set again. Stamping with gold HS color shine is problematic at best :P Veneers are Freckled Fawn from my stash as is the FP red alpha

Love You to the Stars and Back - SC Planetarium

 My youngest is a ham for the camera so it loves him. This is just a cute shot of him goofing a few years ago.

I used the SC Planetarium (May) kit. The only add-on I bought was the North Star card kit add-on cause I adored the stamp set (and the papers). The "I love you" is from that set. The rest is my handwriting. Everything is from the kit except the mist and those little 3D circle stickers which are Heidi Grace (I think- definitely Colorbok)

Friends and SC Neverland

I went to Archivers a month or so ago and someone was getting an oh-so-early start on Christmas cards! This frame was the elftovers of santa's collar on her round cards. So, I backed the openings with soem of my fav papers from the Neverland kit and add-ons (of which I have all because it was my favorite kit set ever)All of the embellies are from the kits. The letters are stamped with the Navy Pier kit alpha set. I used HS color shine in gold lame and teal and used JB inks to color the veneer banners.

You Can Never Have Too Much Happy - SC Spencer

More Spencer kit in action! Papers are EP and Glitz as well as scraps of an SC exclusive. I used the PL stamp set and BG clips, frames and stickers. I cut the banner in the lower right and popped it up off the background.
My youngest always relishes Daddy's undivided attention - esp since he always has competition :P

Twisting Hair and SC Spencer kit

Here is another layout made with the SC Spencer kit. I added SC mist and MME washi plus the polaroid frames are cut from a MME paper. The picture is of my 2 kids playing with and twisting their hair which seems to be a genetic trait in my mom's family

Mini Mohawk - SC Spencer kit

I've been making a concerted effort to use my Studio Calico kits lately- especially since they have been kind of piling up. I really liked this kit and found it very usable - all the papers on this page except the orange were SC exclusives . The only non-kit items were the Mr Huey spray, HS mask, SC orange letters,  and bling. The picture is my kid mugging for the camera after I sued about half a bottle of gel to get his hair to stick up in a mohawk :P

Studio Calico Neverland and Dino Models

My sons received dinosaur "fossils" in clay that they got to dig out archeaologist style. Afetr we put them together, they thought it would be great fun to pose them in all sorts of silly manners. I think they made me take about 40 pics before I called it quits *LOL*

I used the Hook and Lost Boy add-ons from SC's March kits for this LO.

Studio Calico Neverland and Good friends

I absolutely love the SC March kits but have not used them much yet. Trying to remedy that lately :P

Anyway, I have a group of 3 girlfriends from college I have been friends with for 15+ years and plan to grow old still goofing off with them. We don't get together much cause we're not all local anymore but this is 2 of them from a girls' night out a couple months ago.

Crate paper and sticker; BG vellum tape, letters and envelope; MME enamel dots and word stickers, AC Thickers and rub-ons (Amy Tan); SC papers and cards as well as Tim Holtz markers (colored in the rub-ons and a little of the cloud)

Scraptastic Kit Club - July kit layout

I got my first kit from Scraptastic last month. August turned out to not be colors I loved (so I skipped - love that I have that option) BUT, I thought July kits were gorgeous and I am loving the look of September's too! 
Anyway, this LO includes FP and EP PP , EP stickers, with OA washi Q&Co candy, and SC veneers as well as Ormolu for ST flair and the ST PL cards

Pics are from when my then-3-y.o manged to put a gash in his skull and they wrapped a bandage around his head to hold on the numbing gel before stapling his head :P

Mrs Dinosaur with "vintage" paper

So, I challenged myself to use some of my beloved (and discontinued) Scenic Route paper stash. I will not admit just how much paper I bought from them when they clearanced out all their merchandise... suffice it to say it was a lot *LOL*  Looking at it now, I think it needs a bit more around the photo to frame it but I do like it over all. I used some paper scraps as well as a full sheet from SR Liberty line with some Mr Hueys paint splatter. I used my AC Knockout punches and some Recollections and Freckled Fawn(?) washis. I added liquid pearls to the centers of the star like pattern on the botton paper strip. A MME journalling tag, some JB tickets, and AC Thickers finish it off. I think I will just add some black pen outlining around the photo...  TFL :)

I want to be a cowboy....

This set of pages wasn't really created as a 2-page spread but more as 2 1 page layouts that work together since each child "stars" in a page :P Pretty much all papers and stickers on these are OA Sasparilla. But, I also used SC Mr Hueys, AC Thickers, Bazzill CS, Jenni Bowlin ink, and SC cloud stamps w/ Fiskars punches on the right side. The clouds on the left were fussy cut from the OA paper.

Brother Love and BG serendipity

This is a layout I made with a bunch of the Serendipity line from BG for Joann's as well as a little Lily Bee, some AC thickers, and stamps from a Studio Calico July add-on. Love the circle border and the dr Seuss quote.

The pictures are from my oldest's 6th birthday - he got a bicycle - and are of him letting his little brother try it out with and without him. I also love the pic of my husband and parents on the left- I treasure it especially because this was one of the last birthdays Dad participated in as he was diagnosed with and passed away from cancer since then.

Anyway, not much more to say about this LO- I used my colorbox chalk ink, EK success layering punches and AC washi in addition to the BG papers and embellies. TFL :)

Petit Creek Farm

Another LO I did for a CHA 2012 2 Peas challenge (color scheme) and with the Pieces of Me kit as a starting point. This LO is also from the same fall field trip pictures

I used SC and EP appers, MME washi, flair and bookpages from the kit, Dear Lizzy PP for the camera, SC sticker, BG alpha, and an EK success punch

Class Field Trip

I did this LO a while back too- in fact I used it for a CHA challenge at 2 Peas which was back in July *LOL* It started with the SC/2 Peas class kit but I added stuff from my own stash, too. It was fun to do a LO that would typically be fall (field trip to a corn maze and pumpkin patch) but do something completely different instead :)

BTW, the color cast is a little wrong on this photo- the main patterned paper is greener IRL and the yellow is slightly less bright

Anyway, the papers are SC and MME and I also used LB die-cuts/paper. Alphas are SC (tuny) and AC mistable thickers. I also used OA sprinklers, SC veneers, and KaiserCraft rhinestones and pearls

For the Love of the Game

With 2 boys playing baseball, I have a ton of BB photos to scrap! I made this LO at archivers a couple months ago - would have been easier with the new SC Starburst mask but I made do with a couple scrap pieces of paper *LOL* The base is Bazzill resist cardstock sprayed with glimmer mists. I matted the photos on more bazzill and added CC Tiny Type letters, Bella Blvd stickers (quote), AC Thickers, Deja Views brads, and WRMK grommet.

Pretty simple but I like it and it's a little different than most of my baseball LOS :)

SC Elmwood Park - Party!

Ahhhh! I'm back again.... can I ever manage to blog consistently? Well, I am gonna give it a try - again! :P

Anyway, I joined Studio Calico kit club back in July. My previous kit club closed at the beginning of the year and I missed getting that happy mail - plus I have discovered that I will actually use SC stamps on layouts - go figure :P

So this was one my first LOs made with Elmwood Park and its add-ons (I had a discount code and I really liked this month so I ordered 3)

This LO has a lot of white space but I kinda like it this time. I do think I should have added twine to the buttons and make go back to do that but am overall pleased with the LO.  I know I added the long yellow border and title stickers  from my stash (and probably the buttons too) but I think everything else was from the kits :)
